From church choir, talent contests, and numerous other show winning performances, during his early years. Ali grew into the vocalist, producer, instrumentalist, and songwriter, with one of the most distinguished voices in the music world.

Ali Woodson Performed with "The Drifters" from 1972 to 1977.
In 1977 Ali auditioned for the "Temptations" and "Herald Melvin and the Blue Notes". Ali decided to replace "Teddy Pendergrass". lead singer of the "Blue Notes". Ali performed with the "Blue Notes" from 1977 until 1979. After that he pursued a solo carrier in New York, until 1983 when Ali Woodson was asked to join the "Temptations".

Ali Woodson the former lead singer and driving force behind the legendary "Temptations" had his work cut out for him. Ali replaced two of the most dynamic singers of all time, David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards.
By the mid 80's, he proved that, he was more than capable to replace those Legends, when he wrote "Treat Her Like A Lady", which put the "Temptations" back on the "Top of The Pop and R&B charts".



Ali's style is a blend of earthiness and sophistication. His wide range of pop and jazz, gospel rock, blues and funk shows the sensitivity and strength that mark him as an enduring artists in today's music scene.



Ali says "if you do a thing well, whether it's soul, blues or rock, you can reach people of different tastes and place them all", and Ali Woodson does.



Ali Woodson is anything but your typical entertainer, he is pure, energetic and possibly the most talented singer that ever ruled your stage and without a doubt you'll be watching the best one hour, high-enargy show you've ever experienced !
