| A: | The Controllers , they're from Alabama. So I met them back in at that time when I was playing with Gravy Train. Hear some by, you know, that I have some songs but they never did nothing. But they wanted to record all the time. So I had an opportunity to write a song for. |
| J: | Do you still keep in touch with them ? |
| A: | No, I haven't heard for a long time. |
| J: | I heard the album "Spirit Traveler" by David T. Walker, James Gadson, and other Motown studio musicians. And you sang 4 songs including Christmas blues on it didn't you ? |
| A: | Right. One song I wrote "I Love You" . |
| J: | Don't you write songs for another musicians recently ? |
| A: | Yeah, if I got a chance, you know if they like it, I can always get recorded. Yeah, if they like my songs, I wouldn't mind them to record 'em. |
| J: | When will you and The Temptations release a new album ? |
| A: | We're working out a Box Set (="Emperors OF Soul"), now. Single should be released in August. |
| J: | Box set means anthology or something ? |
| A: | Old &new, yeah. |
| J: | How many new songs dose it include ? |
| A: | I think it includes 4 new songs we just recorded, and about 4 old songs which are new songs they were recorded years ago but never was released. And we're gonna re-release... "Magic" is gonna be on there, I think "Treat Her Like A Lady" is gonna be there, I'm not sure. It's gonna be like 3 or 4 CD box set. |
