First recording with Temps

J:You joined The Temps in '83, but your first recording isn't the album "Truly For You", is it ?
A:My first album with them is "Back To Basics".
J:But we can' see your name on the album.
A:My name isn't on the album, but I sing the song called "Stop The World Right Here".
J:Everybody recognized your voice, but how did you become to sing this song ?
A:That song was... at the time when I got The Temptations, they almost finished with their album.
And that was the last song that wasn't recorded. Dennis was not there, sometime he was there, sometime he wasn't there. They couldn't depend on him. That's why they hired me.
So when I came in L.A. and met Berry Gordy, he send me downstairs to the recording room with Norman Whitfield...
J:A song writer ?
A:Right. And that the song they tried to other one. And I did, I guess I did well, so they kept the song and put it on the album.
J:But why they didn't put your name on the album ?
A:They don't put anybody's name on the album excepting writers or something. You know like... my name is on the album only time if I am a writer of a song.
J:Make a sense.
